Welcome to Care
At Home - Diocese of Brooklyn. We are an
affiliate Agency of Catholic Charities, Diocese of Brooklyn, and a sister agency
of Family Home Care Services of Brooklyn & Queens,
Inc. established in
1980. Home care is a means of enabling the elderly, the disabled, and People
With AIDS to live safely at home with as much comfort, independence and dignity as
possible where institutionalization might otherwise be
required.
Our home care services can be provided
for short or long periods. These services include health related tasks or personal care
(assistance with Activities of Daily Living such as
bathing, feeding, dressing, toileting, walking, grooming,
etc.), escorting out-of-doors,
shopping, laundry, housekeeping and assistance with home management.
Home care workers are the important
direct providers of these services and are placed in homes, based on need, from
2 hours up to 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We work in collaboration with
clients/families and their Physicians/Therapists/Nurses. Our quality servises
are provided to clients regardless of race, religion or national origin.
The public may contact the Joint Commission's
Office of Quality Monitoring to report any concerns or register complaints
about a Joint Commission-accredited health care organization by either calling
1/800-994-6610 or emailing complaint@ jcaho.org
